Hooray! my name is Elly and I never see anyone spell Elly with a Y. So this of course makes me happy.
But I love this work! The expression on their faces is fantastic.

oh....
How can I change the color of the dress now without completely re-doing it?
*dramatically throws self off a cliff*
*climbs back*
I put highlights around the edges of the dress like you told me to before. I thought that helped.
No?...No.
In my defense, maybe it's my monitor but I can see their torsos pretty clearly. Just saying.
Regardless, it's probably all going to get darker when I print.... blarghrefjwbfjerbfmqw. death.

Alrighty, got a few things you could fix... but not a ton; First, you've got quite a value range going on in their legs but no where else on their skin save maybe there faces. If they are stockings, fine, but you'd have to get rid of the value range on said faces. The dots feel overly graphic, considering the time you spent to render the dress, so make sure the surface patterns on your objects follow the same perspective as the object themselves. Basically the dots closer to the edge need to flatten out to feel like they are bending to the distance. see? Something about the blue dress on the blue background is a bit discordant, and not in the schmexy way I think you were going for. You could solve that and the lost forms of their torsos in front of their hair by going with a paler warmer color.....
PHEW! Tired now... need a sandwich and a bj.
Lemme know if you got questions.

They are stockings... so...I have to get rid of the value range on their faces? meh? explain. I guess they don't look enough like stockings. How do I fix?
I'll mess around with the background color and such.

It's not just the background color. It's the dark value of the dress losing their torsos in the dark value of their hair. The dress color is the bigger problem, not the bg.
Pick a different color for the stockings, or go much darker if they are to be black. Because if you color sample the stockings, and the back sides of their faces, the colors and values are close to each other. Thus making the REST of their skin (everything but the backside of the faces, and the legs) seem off color, or extra pale, or at worst, unfinished.
