Another drawing from a reference in gallery. Please have a look if you like unique and beautiful photography, he's very inspiring!Materials:
A4 Extra Smooth Bristol
Graphite (HB, B, 4B)
Erasers
Tissue
Tortillions
Caran D'Ache Pablos
Acrylic
Time: Somewhere around 12-14 Hours
I suck at drawing hair and I chose this reference not only because I love the photo but I had to try harder with the hair. I dont know what it is, I just cant do it very well, but this one is better than most ... hurrah
I changed the butterfly from the reference image just so it would have a little body.

you're really talented, your works are absolutely great! do you draw for a living? I hope in 2 years practice to get to your level.. the hair is still my weakest point, also because I'm not very patient with it ^^ what are you working on right now?

Hair is really tricky and drives me insane!! You are not alone at all.
At the moment, some of my lovely dA friends and I are doing a draw along, so I finished that last night and will post once everyone else is finished too. Today, I'm drawing an eye with a difference

most of the times I find drawing very relaxing, but hair has the power to drive me crazy! In particular men hair!
a draw together like a collaboration? that sound's fun! how long does it take you to finish a drawing? you seem a very active artist ^^
aside from the drawing you commented on I'm working of the lineart of a king arthur fanart, I would like to start a series about warrior girls ^^

Yes, we draw the same reference to share tips and look at different interpretations of a reference, its great fun and I've met really lovely dA friends through it too

I think for an A4 drawing, on average about 12-15 hours and A3 a few hours more. What about you, it seems to be a very personal thing, some people are so fast and others are 40+ hours.
Oh a warrior girls series sounds amazing! Loads of lovely details .. thats my fave.

I've just taken a look, it sounds like fun and I know who you're working with.. but I don't know if I'm at your level yet.. I mean ~JustABeautifulDream is an amazing artist and *anotherjokerfan is too.. but if you feel like asking your friends about me joining in, I would absolutely love to!
well It generally takes me a month to finish a drawing (I don't count the hours cos I can draw only occasionally during the evenings)
