This is a sneaky little drawing that I hadn't planned on but made today
This black paper thing is a lot of fun!
Materials:
A4 Black Paper
Caran d'Ache Pablos
Tiny amount of white acrylic
Time - About 5 hours
Ref: I can't remember where it came from I've had it so long, but I'll pop the link here when I find it

This is well deserving. Your lighting and limited pallet is gorgeous. The skill it takes to work on black paper isn't anything to forget either. I dabble in color pencils as well and have done a few experiments on black card stock, but nothing to this degree of success.

Such great use of colour Paula! Although it most certainly adds to the idea of her being dead!
I'm looking at her eyes though; might just be me, or the angle, but her eyes appear to be pointing in different directions slightly? Am I crazy???

Why it took so long?

Like your new beautiful style, they remained hidden to our senses and gives off an unknown form of energy that surrounds us and drag it gently, preventing us to turn our gaze of wonder of them.

I see you drew blue & pink face as I did with my The Vampire Diaries drawing, too! We have a lot in common
But this is just stunning. Everything's perfect, especially the necklace looks real! I also adore the water refelction.
Btw, a higher resolution would allow my and others' eyes to enjoy this outstanding piece even more

I had to go back and look for the pink in yours, it looks fab! I was so sure it was all blue, but the hint of pink makes it even better! The blue is quite addictive on the black actually, I need to try something else

A nice sneaky one. You have developed a nice fast technique and it works pretty well. I'm impressed at how well the colour pencils cover the black paper. The pose and colours make it a bit disturbing .. corpse like in appearance and the necklace around the neck and swollen neck gives it the feeling that foul play was involved. That's what i saw when i first looked at it .... It's a great drawing and for me that makes it all the more powerful, i just want to go and close her eyes .. poor thing. All in all a very powerful emotional piece, well done
