OH GOSH PAULA. THIS LOOKS SO COOL!
the lovely tones work so well and omg the hair looks so nice and the necklace is so detailed and realistic and the reflection looks amazingly done, i really cant compliment this enough
i think it's my favourite work of yours now :)

Thank you I know! 5 hours and she was all done, not only that, those hours were broken intt bits of 20-30 mins .. I love that I can draw when the kiddies are around now I've found black paper I'm so easily pleased

You're welcome I'd love to try drawing on tinted paper someday. They are only available for pastels, though, aren't they?

It's such a lot of fun on coloured paper, I'd love to see some from you I don't think all tinted papers are classed as pastel paper. As long as there isn't too much loose fibres or a very raised texture, they would be good for other dry mediums too.

The coloured pastel pads I have (I think fabriano and daler-rowney) are both fine for colour pencils and the black is just a cartridge paper (it's call a fat pad).

I draw on almost anything as long as it's acid and lignin free

I guess it really doesn't matter what kind of paper you use. I have a bunch of acid-free tinted cardstock paper... maybe I'll try using them
