Amane "Amy" Inoue is a 15-year-old schoolgirl from Tokyo, Japan. On her 6th birthday, Amy's parents planned to make a big birthday party, but nobody came because her friends were busy or were on vacations. Then, a Jewelandian witch decided to take her to Jewel Land on a magical horse carriage for a big birthday party at Jewel Castle. There, she meets Ruby, who at the time was Raku Majo's partner. After humiliating Raku and protecting Ruby from her abusive behavior towards her, Amy and Ruby became besties and they promised to meet again one day. 9 years later, Amy reunited with Ruby in a starry night. Ruby was sent to the human world to find another partner in order to fight the monsters from the mysterious Garden of Tears . Amy eventually becomes Ruby's partner and a magical girl. When she transforms, her hair becomes red and wears an white and red dress with white gloves with red bows and boots with heart-shaped rubies, to match with Ruby's Jewel Charm. She also wears the pink pearl necklace with a pair of red cherries and the cherry blossom from Ruby's attire.

She strongly believes in magic and loves to listening pop music, playing video games and eating delicious takoyaki and tempura. She's also very protective from her younger sister, Hana, who is Peridot's partner.

She's named after Japanese racing driver, Taki Inoue . Who competed at Formula 1 between 1994 and 1995. (If Lady Jewelpet has boys named after sports cars, I can have characters named after racing drivers!)
