Description
Impressing ongoing explorers with a wingspan of 8.4 meters, the Xiphaquil flies above the trees in warm, humid regions. It is indubitably avian in appearance, with a feathery body, long, feathery wings, moderately long legs with 4 clawed toes on each foot, and a long, beaked head. However, what I find most interesting about it is its long, serrated, "toothy" beak; with a beak like this, it could get a better grip on hunks of meat than other volant raptors. Aside from this fearsome beak, everything about the Xiphaquil seems majestic and noble, from its impressive stature to its huge wings, and from its elegant grey-and-white color patterning to its awe-inspiring high-pitched calls; in fact, many people revere this bird as a symbol of courage and resilience, which may seem strange at first, but can be reasonable and meaningful in the very least if understood correctly (especially since the other remarkable aerial titan is a wroth man-eater).Apart from their large beaks, Xiphaquil like to use their curved talons as a hunting tool. Often times, they will pluck their prey off the ground with their claws and fly up to a great height before reminding them about how nerve-racking the force of gravity can be; if their quarry is too large to deal with, they will resort to slashing with their talons and ripping off large chunks of flesh with their beaks. Usually, Xiphaquil prefer to attack prey the size of a tapir or water buffalo; however, I've seen some individual Xiphaquil audacious enough to target the petrifying Scotoph as prey items. Despite this fearsome predatory behavior, they will usually leave humans alone, only attacking when they feel threatened, angry, or famished; this semi-docile behavior is part of what makes them the most favored and sought-after out of all the fantastic colossi that roam this world.
“Don’t pinch! You need not be frightened like a rabbit, even if you look rather like one. It is a fair morning with little wind. What is finer than flying?”
My fourth mythical creature factfile so far, featuring yet another new and unique mythical beast: the majestic, revered Xiphaquil! If you have any questions about it, ask me!

So, what is its stature? Sounds really majestic!

If you're talking about how tall it is, it's just a little taller than a person (I'd say about 2.5 meters tall when it stands with its head raised).
If you're talking about how high it is in an ecosystem, it's pretty much one of the higher-tier predators, and it's capable of holding its own against many creatures; the only ones that are capable of overpowering it and killing it with ease are, of course, the largest dragons.
Anyways, thank you very much! I appreciate it!

You can't just make an awesome giant bird and only post one picture of it!
I want to see it stand up!
I want to see someone flying on its back!

I've gone a while without posting pictures, so I should get back to this series as soon as possible.
Anyways, I should give this birdie a few touch-ups later; one upcoming mythical creature fights with it, so I can showcase the two going at each other...

I was thinking more of a redesign, like adding some feather tufts on its head or some small feathery ribbons trailing from its tail fan.

Not too sure on making it bigger; it already has a wider wingspan than most pterosaurs, and its standing height along is impressive.
I'll see how everything goes after I redraw it, though.
