Thanks for the kind words.
I used a single Alienbee 800 with a white umbrella. Also used an SB800 flash for the hair light.

That's a nice flash unit. What color do you have? The hair light is so subtle I didn't notice it. I can see it now that you mention it.

I got the lime green ones. Actually let my friend pick the color for me. Yea the hair light is faint, but just enough to separate it from the background

Yes, the hair light is perfect and looks natural. Great job! Last year I started using Nikon Speedlights on stands with soft boxes and umbrellas.

If I can wrangle up the cash I'm going to try to pick up a second speedlight. Figure with two strobes and two Speeds I should have a pretty flexible setup. That's the one problem with photography, after you buy one toy you always find another 3 that you want right after.

Haha! Yes, that's the truth! Camera gear is so addicting.

That will be a very nice lighting setup. I am looking at getting a Lastolite Soft box [link] for my flash next.

Thanks for the compliments. I have to agree that yes she is beautiful, and her eyes always amaze me. She manages to give this look that has a certain deepness with just a bit of attitude mixed in. Usually makes for great shots
