yes yes i also hear NieR:Automata built upon the same mechanics Nier had but as you say, it looks clunky and the graphics are really old. If I had played it in its time, it's become one of my favourite games probably but attempting to play it now just seems a waste of time as I'd only be playing for its story.

I've only played Dark Souls for the lolz once and wasn't even able to get to the dragon in the first prison part lmao So MANY TRAPS

i have played the 1st bit of DS1, i got lost in fire link shrine and couldn't find the way out
the very beginning of DS2, same issue as DS1 but when i got out i get WRECKED by all forms of enemy so i gave up
and i played ALL of DS3, i wanted to get the DLC but i still haven't got it yet

in my opinion DS3 is the funnest and easiest to play out of the 3 DarkSouls games
DS1 probably has the more replay value though
but the best soulsborne game is bloodborne

Yeah I've heard ds3 is also somewhat easier but I'm guessing all the introductory lore happens in the first game?? Tho I'll just probably watch a playthrough of it as I don't even have a controller and I suck at these games ;_;

eh, there are some references to DS1 but most of it is what is happening now
like the plot with the lords of cinder, all you need to know there is that the world was ending at least 5 times before you showed up and these guys each saved it by becoming lords of cinder, that's about it, everything else si with character interactions and item descriptions
more reason why bloodborne is the best, it is simpler to get, has a faster passed combat system and is basically 99.9% "fashionborne"
