This is my character for Earth Rumble VII over at [link] . This is a Avatar based thing, it looked so fun so I jumped on bored. check out the journal, if you like this kind of things and like Avatar. So here’s my character…

Name: Xai Hee Wai “ The Mountain Bear”
Age: 24
Nation/ element: Earth
Residence: Earth Kingdom desert and surrounding areas.
Eyes: Hazel
Hair: Normally Black currently bald
Skin: Dark brown
Height: 6’8”
Weight: 355 pounds
Styles: Krav Maga, Pyompya Thaing - Bando, Aikido, Judo, Hung Gar

Fighting Style: Xai specialty is close combat and while he is versed in the basic long ranged earth bending techniques of Hung Gar he prefers to get a hold of a combatant and use his skills in Pyompya Thaing - Bando, Aikido, and Judo to take them down. Using Grapples, throws, locks, breaks and powerful strikes to immobilize, demoralize and destroy his opponents. He relies on Krav Maga as a powerful defense and counter attacking system.

Personality: Xai Wai is a gentle giant out of the ring, a man who wouldn’t hurt a fly; kind hearted and loyal. He’s also a bit of a gentlemen, disrespecting women or hurting them is not in his play book. But in the ring Xai Wai is a ruthless combatant, cut throat and methodical in his combat “execution”. And while women are to be treaded with respect if a girl climbs into the ring with him don’t expect him to forfeit or surrender, all’s fair in love and war. It would not be below him to break bones or crippling a foe and while killing is not something he wishes to do but if it comes down to it he will not hesitate to take you out.

He’s also a bit of a ladies man, holds women in the highest regard but the only thing he loves more then winning are the hot girls groupies, its bit of a weakness really.

History: Xai grew up as a desert nomad, traveling the deserts with traders and merchants; it was a good life but a hard one as well. He was well fed and always had a roof over his head, but desert work is labor intensive, and he worked long hard hours and grew up to be the behemoth he is today. He was taught early on in the ways of earth bending, showing a lot of powerful potential in his bending and as he grew older and thru his travels he learned what he could from teachers, masters and fighters adding to his earthbended techniques. It was the war that forced his people further into the harsh deserts, many died from the extreme conditions. Xai left his tribe and headed to the earth kingdom capital determined to make enough money to support his people, and he’s not going to let any one stand in his way. He got his start at 18 as a body gourd to some upper ring nobles and found the pay to be less than desirable. He soon found his way, and his calling, at underground Wrestling matches, where the money was good and the challenges were abundant. Earth Rumble VII is a perfect opportunity for the fame and fortune Xai seeks not to mention the challenge off it all.

Special info: Xai Wai is the Super Heavy weight Champion of Omashu and Winner of the Ba Sing Se Extreme Fighting Championship (EFC). He wears his winners belt from the EFC and his Omashu champion’s headband to show to the world his greatness. He also has a bad habit of taking personal belongings from those he defeats, claiming them as trophies.
