Description Oh my goodness...it's a jail break!

And is that Ventress helping Offee? The dreaded terrorist of the Jedi Order?

But who could be at the controls of the ship?

Hmmmm, this scene might be the one from a story that inspired this graphic novel...hmmmm could it be?

YOU BETCH YA!

Still all part of page 3

I really like the angle and scope of this render. Very cinematic.

Thanks. I'm trying very hard to not have a look similar to my trek comics. So far its working, but don't want to get complacent at the same time. So, unfortunately this book will take a bit longer than I wish. Each image has to be epic and of the highest quality as if I was posting them as individual images.  Also if you noted, the book is 24 pages instead of 23. The last two pages were to crampt and needed to be opened up.

As for a sequel, that depends on the success and stress of this book. And yes I'm departing a bit from the story 'lord' wrote. I think ventress  would have insisted she do the breaking offee out of prison. She'd been a few prisons herself and owned a few so here's getting in and out would have been smarter. Plus insure tano  would have some piloting skills ventress didn't...she did have skyguy as a mentor.

Talk more later.
Paul.

It's good to give each and every panel that much attention. It is killer for time and effort, but it really pays off. That's my only real regret in the comic I posted a little while back. I had several panels that I put a lot of thought into and they were great, but there were also panels that were just blah. I think I prefer to tell stories through a series of renders rather than graphic novel form, but I'm still experimenting and learning what works for me.

It's good that you are taking Hadrian's story and turning it into your own. No one likes a copycat, but a story inspired by another is a serious compliment to the original writer. I respect your opinion on Ventress, but I actually disagree with her role in both Hadrian's and your stories. While she is turning over a new leaf and all, she is still a very dark individual who has years and years of practice dwelling and holding onto grudges. She may help Ahsoka this one time, but I think she would have a serious score to settle with Barriss. Barriss screwed up Ventress' chance at getting Ahsoka to speak on her behalf. Barriss also knocked her out and stole her lightsabers. There's a lot to be angry about and very little of anything to calm her temper.

It really is more about what elements of the story you wish to take away from the show and how you interpret them. I think it's good to disagree on things like that because it makes for more variety in stories. At least my fan fiction I'm writing won't be like Hadrian's. Good thing too! I'd hate to be sloppy seconds to his great works lol.

Oh I don't plan on Ventress being be a miss goody two shoes in pink bobby socks and matching lace bonnet. She has some serious anger and personal issues. She's been riding the rim of life's butt. In a the comic's Ventress faked her own death. A very devastated obiwan had her body cloaked and sent back to courasant for a proper funeral. The truth was She had lowered her heart rate and body function so low she wasn't detected, and then woke up, some time later and used a little jedi mind persuasion she learned from her first master, a true jedi, and had the two men take her out into uncharted territory away from the politics of war and jedi and sith and most of all Obiwan, she wanted to start over.

Remember Ventress was sold as property as a child and then left to die had not a stranded jedi found her and then took her in as his padawan. Ventress for years did incredible good, what twisted her soul was the fact warlords ganged up and tried to kill her but succeeded in killing her master. Part of the reason she is pissed and hates obiwan is he took her masters lightsaber but also confronted her about her loss and in literally a few short words left her stunned and sobbing and wanting obiwan dead for picking that wound open.

since then he's been obsessed with the fact he knows she is good no matter how much she wishes to deny it.
