I have always disliked these type of mechs. I grew up playing mechwarrior which has a slightly more logical approach to a piloted robot... slightly. Japanese mechs are just not my style, way too humanized and putting hands to a vehicle??
But to be honest, you have made such a beautiful work, the textures and the colours are exquisite, and the mech yells BADASS to my eyes.

is the design referenced or after some sort of study, or just came out that way? cause it looks so damn good : O

The design is really armored core based. I have play this game since the first one on ps1.
I use sometimes references for the details, but for the posing and global design I do
it by myself.
Here, the mecha is just an excuse to practice color, I dont try to
be clever with the design at all.

Ahh I know the game but never really played or tried it... seems interesting!
I don't think you really need to be "clever" if the design is so well done, and this is the case cause you did a great job

Yeah, at some point. I have start to go back to a more traditional color palette
and this exercise was really usefull! You will check it by yourself with my next
picture ( I hope ^^).
