This picture should be the end of my Monster Hunter mania.
I hope all MH fans will enjoy it, and maybe push people to play this fantastic game sadly underestimated in Europe.

Reminds me when I used to play Monster Hunter on the PSP, the Ravager blade was my favorite.

Very awesome work. I like the Gravios hunter standing in the shadows, something you don't even notice until you've really looked at the painting for a bit. What they're trying to say is truly lost, since even the painting itself gives few clues. The map? The wyvern? The smoke? Who knows?
Anyways, awesome work, and I should really hope your MH Mania never ends. I know mine never will. >_>

Just wanna know. Did you jump straight in and paint while using reference or did you do some compositional, and colour studies before hand?

I have started it directly in PS using some ref from Walles and of course monster hunter designs.
As usual I dont try to be photo realistic so I dont use strictly the colors from the ref.
I used to draw in a sketch book a lot of comp but I dont do it anymore as I dont have the time anymore : /.
