AU where the crystal gems are replaced with the basement trio? what do you mean AU? they are basically the same characters lmao

i've tried to draw this like a 1000 times but i finally got it right!! I did change a few things about em tho, like lex isnt a fusion, and im honesty not sure whether i want zex to be overcooked from earth, or have him be a noble body-guarded by lex... but i know vexen was a pearl made during the war, and since resources were low and they had to be made quickly, he was defective. He was going to be killed and he knew he was gonna die, but at the last second a pearl was requested for a perfect/noble rose quartz, and upon walking in to pick one up chose vex. Imma draw rose and "steven" in a little bit cause im really liking this AU so far C:!!

(and yes, zex's gem is under his hair on his other eye!)
