▌History ▌
Basil isn't one to talk about his past much. He was born into a family with two older brothers. Often being the youngest he was treated like a baby which didn't make his brothers very fond of him. There was also a pretty big age different between them. His mother was one of the kindest people he had ever met. She was always there for him and her family. However when Basil was around the age of ten she caught a very bad illness. The family was told she wouldn't make it and for some reason his brothers blamed him for mess. She died a few months later, Basil grew up missing her everyday. He got close to his father and would stray away from his older siblings.
In high school Basil met someone in his English class, he was head over heels for the boy. The boy took him out on dates talked to him late at night and did many things to Basil he'd rather not recall. At the time he didn't know he was being played until the guy left. Basil closed himself off from dating after that. It takes a lot to get the deer to commit to something.
When Basil turned 20 he moved out to go to culinary school. It was a wonderful time, all he did was bake and never have to deal with anyone. Closer and closer came graduation so he had to find a place to go. Talking to his father he heard about Candy-Jarr and moved there to open up a small bakery full of pastries and sweets.
