Description

Rav ranged ahead of the small band, his eyes scanning the grasslands around them for any sign of trouble. Behind him, following the light of his internum and the red star in the sky above were two other Ballators. The Mountain Stallion, Regale, kept up with Rav while letting him maintain his own self imposed distance and bringing up the rear was the African Mare, Anansi.

Anansi was grateful for the buffer that Regale offered, and she slowed her pace just enough that she could let her mind wander. The strange star in the sky was certainly something-- though she wasn't sure what. Just seeing it in the sky sent an odd thrill down her spine.

"What do you think lies under the red star?"
Anansi startled slightly, before offering a small smile at Regale. The stallion had dropped back to speak with her, obviously grateful for the slower pace, judging by the sweat that rolled down his sides. Anansi flicked her gaze back to Rav, still ahead of them but still far away enough that he was out of immediate earshot.

"I'm sure there's some great power there! Perhaps a magic we've never encountered? I'm sure everyone thinks it's The Lowlord, but this feels wholly knew."
"It does feel strange..." Regale agreed, his voice trailing off in thought.
"I'm curious to see what magics we can find."

Rav had slowed his own pace when the slight mention of Hannibal had drifted up to him, and now he snorted his displeasure at Anansi's thoughts.

"What do you think, Ravanasura?" Regale's voice held an uncharacteristic coldness and Rav returned it with pinned back ears and his own clipped reply.

"The Moribund did not ask me to chase a star or some witch's imaginary powers."

"Then you can leave," Anansi snapped, her irritations written all over her face. Her manes ruffled on her shoulders in agitation and some part of her willed Rav to act as he normally did and come at her. Instead, the Desert Stallion kept his face hidden as he moved steadily onward. There was a pregnant pause as she waited for any sort of reply, though one never came from Rav.

"Perhaps it's best if we keep moving," Regale suggested. Anansi agreed and once again her mind and eyes drifted to the red star, though this time she kept her thoughts to herself.

A Collaboration between Winzer and Myself! Can we crank out all of the MQ with Trash Spider? We're gonna try! I wrote the story, did some dumbo sketches, and did the backgrounds. Winz did the hard part and lined and colored all the characters and did the Edits in Post.
