Description
Just how many digits does a pig have? Four. A cloven pair of hooves, and a pair of dew claws. One less than a human hand does, and human foot. They almost look like paws with just thick claws at the end. So, we have 4 digits... where does the last digit go? Do four fingers merge to become two and a dew claw emerge near the bottom of the wrist for the thumb to line up? Is it two fingers merging, and the pinky and thumb become the dew claws? Or does the thumb shrink and the index and pinky become the dew claws? Is there a right answer? These are the things I think about when I have too much time on my hands.Related content

What a great graphic! I think, aesthetically, I'm most attracted to the three fingered 'ninja turtles' type hands, although they're the most far-fetched choice. Most likely, from an evolutionary perspective, the thumb would go away entirely and the index and pinky fingers would be the dew claws. But I like seeing most any configuration.

I'm mostly the same. I preferred the Ninja Turtle-type of two-fingered, one thumb version for awhile thanks to Willow. I always figured pigs had one dew claw, I was unaware they had two for awhile.

Yeah, Willow really affected what I like in pig TFs. Hooves, tusks - pretty much the only thing about it that didn't catch on for me is asymmetry. For some reason, I never like, say, one hand changing into a hoof at a time. But aside from that, the closer the TF is to Willow, the more I'm inclined to like it.
