Hmm... So Ahadi does really care. Wow. He looks bad-ass in that last panel. O.O But let me guess. Ahadi and his pride will go for revenge, but will fail. Since, you know, it's a whole pride of bloodthirsty rogue males, some of which are particularly sadistic and cruel. I just can't see anyone from the Pridelands actually surviving this except MAYBE Taka. And even if he does, I can't see it exactly being a GOOD thing, considering the circumstances. =/
I'm sorry. Normally I love your art and stories, but this is really making me start to hate this rogue pride of yours... I just don't understand why they do what they do. Kidnapping cubs/adolescent lions and either killing them or forcing them to stay and become what they are. What's the point? Is it just because Alexander is their leader, and is apparently sick in the head? The whole thing just irritates and confuses me, even if it is a neat story. Good thing this is only an AU. lol
But really, no offense intended. I actually really do love your work. I'm amazed how much your art still looks like canon TLK art, but is obviously a lot more realistic with the anatomy and darker themes. Your stories are very entertaining as well. Plus you draw some of the most adorable cubs I've ever seen. XD
Anyway, I'll just wait and see what happens. ^^

The Rogue pride in Survival doesn't do this any longer. Its the reason Samson KILLS Alexander. However, the timeline in this AU is before Samson takes the bastard out and becomes the leader. I specifically designed Alexander to be HATED. So people will root for Samson tearing his throat out.
Also the numbers of Alexander's pride is far lower than Samson's in the future. And Samson's has alot of veteran adults in it while Alexander's is made up of mostly young males. So the Pridelands might be able to drive them out. How the confrontation unfolds however... I will not spoil. XD
And thank you. I try to make it as Lion King as possible... but I loved when they move and act like realistic lions now and then. So I keep that in it. Plus dark themes... I like me some angst. XD

Oh, good to know then. I was just thinking it really couldn't end in a good way for the Pridelanders, but when you put it that way... But yeah, I wouldn't want you to spoil it. Mostly I was just a bit touched to see that Ahadi apparently DOES actually care, and that they may have a chance to actually be a real family now... So it kinda bummed me out that Samson "ruined" it by kidnapping Taka and taking him to Alexander.
No problem. ^^ I agree with you there; I always liked those more realistic lion movements shown in the movie too. Your style is a nice mixture of TLK and realism, and I really like that. It's unique, and I've never seen anything quite like it. Agreed on the dark themes too. It always makes for a much better story. XD
