And Yup. Colder climate Meddians most usually do wear clothes. Exoskeleton or not. Though those with fur may us less than others. (Norv no can wear pants... he has 13 sets of legs. XD good thing he is fuzzy.)
Apex indeed does have a latch. Hymes have latches... infact almost all meddians do. Only those that are soft bodies 'little to no exoskeletal armor'. Like Loment. He is a soft body so has external male bits. Apex has internal male bits tucked safely in his latch. X3 And with if the poll says yes... a somewhat like female bits in there too. XD

LOL Apex? That would be interesting. Hymes I can see having both considering they live in large numbers consisting of relatives (at least that's what I'm assuming.) The other races, not so sure.

Plus when you have a race with drones and Soldiers its best to have both genders be able to carry offspring. Cuz ya never know if all the ladies may get wiped out somehow. O3O Still debating on if its only some bugs like Hymes and Apcrins or if its all males with latches.

Might become too confusing if practically everyone can have babies. XD That and there may suddenly be too many new little characters running around. Practically, I can't really see any reason why the other species should be able to have both sexs ( even if it is limited ). If you do allow lots and lots of babies, it might be a good idea to make "in heat" a special event, that way others don't just make kiddies in the moment.
Other then that I think having Hymes with both sexes a pretty good idea. It could explain their large numbers and how despite natural disasters they still survive (because face it besides flying they can't really do much else). Their strength, as far as I've seen, comes from numbers.
