Description
A young woman, distrought over losing her love to another woman, was taking a long walk away from home.

While she was mulling over all of the problems that had been trubling her, she saw a pair of flashes come from what looked like an abondoned barn.

She was curious about what she saw, as well as anxious to find anything else to occupy her mind at the moment. What she found both surprised and horrified her.

An older man, perhaps in his mid 50's, grabbed her as she turned a corner. He was covered in blood. By the way he was gasping and how his grib was slowly loosening, the panicked young woman knew that it was his own blood.

"Keep it away from them..." he uttered under his breath, and then pushed a small cradle sized pod into her arms.

The man callapsed to the ground and turned as pale as the moon that hung above them. His breathing accelerated and then, in a very abrupt moment, stopped.

The young woman, while covered in the victim's blood, ran with terrified urgency away with the pod, "Who killed that man? Why was this thing so important?"

At that moment, the pod came to life. Lights began to flicker on and the thing turned into an amorphous blob of grey goop.

The woman tried to get it out of her arms, but it was struggling against her! The thing was grabbing at her and seemed to want to smother her. She screamed... she screamed... soon the screams stopped.

This was no monster... this was something else entirely...
