Description
Amethyst the Rabbit is a co-protagonist in Sonic Magic (the other being Psya). She is the Speed Type and leader of Team Magic and Team Energy. Her teammates in Team Magic are Midnight the Cat and Psya the Elephant, and her teammates in Team Energy are Midnight the Cat and Snowflake the Hedgehog.

Personality:
Amethyst is next in line for the throne, but her mannerisms are more like a teen than a queen. She doesn't like how itchy her fancy princess clothes are and prefers to run around in a tank top. She doesn't even run around, she uses her rollerblades. She is also highly enthusiastic and silly, and a show off with her rollerblading. Amethyst is known to have a positive attitude, and also strives to always take the friendly solution whenever she can.

Background:
Amethyst is the princess of the kingdom of Glitra. Glitra is a magical kingdom known publicly for its cherry blossom trees and residents who all have magic powers. Inside the Glitra castle is where the Emerald Wand is kept. One day, her kingdom was under attack by Midnight, who wanted to somehow steal all of the magic in it to become more powerful. With help from Sonic and Tails, she was able to help Midnight see that what she was doing was wrong and that all that power will do more harm than good. Since then, she has been best friends with Midnight, and eventually her girlfriend.

Powers:
Normally, Amethyst can jump very high and can skate very fast with her rollerblades. Amethyst also the ability to transform into a magical girl form. Everyone born in Glitra naturally has this ability. Her magic is powered by positive emotions. This can be her own positive emotions or others'. The combined positive emotions of herself and everyone around her makes her stronger. Her magic also gives her telepathy and the ability to fly. When she uses the Chaos Emeralds and the Emerald Wand combined, she can achieve full power through Sparkling Form. Sparkling Form gives her full power, but unlike Super Forms, Sparkling Forms do not give invincibility.
