Description
Hehe, this is a Cape Dwarf Chameleon. As far as I know it is still an endangered species, but I have found them in various gardens I've known. Like this is in my current garden. This isn't a brand new photo, but it is ME holding this 'juvenile' male or returning it to the red bush it was on. It's close to adult size. So yeah they're smallRelated content

oh nooooooooooooooo Sorry about that, how awful! Occasionally I see (and we kill) a cockroach here, but luckily it is not regular or much
There are some pigeons here, but not lots
Anyway your message was amusing even though it must be a pain about those pests. Pigeons can be okay if they are not being pests I guess. But cockroaches are awful.
Lizards... well we have a few, but not TOO many. Geckos also.

Pffft it's okay... it's kind of funny actually XDDD
Oh! I forgot! XD I'm in a scout group, and we meet in this HUGEASS park/forest/whatever
It's FLOODED with squirrels! It's histerical XDDD
Outside Mexico City there are a few interesting animals, for example, there are this cute little rabbits in the volcanoes and the mountains around the valley, they call them teporingos... I think I saw one once when I went hiking with Dad... But there are a few at the zoo too XDDDDD They're so cute!!! Here, look: [link]
And they think there are still a few cougars too, and deer... idk XD
But yeah XD
*long reply srry XD*

I'm so so sorry I have taken so long to reply to this!! I have been really slow and non-existent at replying to most things over the past few weeks! Sorry, just busy with other things! I really enjoyed your message though, it was great to see pictures of those teporingos! I don't think I've ever seen pics of them before. I remember at the time that link you gave me didn't work, but I searched and found other photos. I have quite a soft spot and great love for rabbits. I used to help my dad breed a few types for show. So we owned lots of rabbits! It was very hard work and sometimes sad things happened, but there were also cool times and some very special sweet bunnies. Oh my gosh, squirrels can become too much or pests I know. There is a garden in this city where I remember there came to be quite a few as well, but I still prefer them to rats There were a few of those around too. Actually some squirrels live around here too, so they can be right in my own garden sometimes too. Anyway you didn't have to apologise for your reply, it wasn't that long. What was long was the time I took to respond
Take care!!

Yuk I found one on the freaking carpet inside the front door the other day. And then upon forcing the bugger (very kindly) onto a piece of paper and taking it out, found many more at the door. My friend relocated the buggers. Yuk.

Of course you can hold it
Haha, I haven't seen any in a while, but I admit I haven't looked often enough. One needs to be thorough and committed about these camouflaged matters. Yeah, so sadly I didn't see any in the garden today when I tossed my gaze around. N-no wild lizards at all? Gah. We have lizards called Cape Skinks I think, which are skinks more than lizards But there are others also.

O,O I never seen one irl; I wouldn't be as brave as you to hold it though
but that's an awesome photo, I live how still it looks and the colours looks just pure, nice shot ^^

PearlyPony In reply to Hayyie [2009-05-03 08:53:23 +0000 UTC]
I think it does take some braveness to hold them yeah. Cos some of them open their mouths and kind of hiss if you try to pick them up, but even if they do try to 'bite' they cannot hurt with those little mouths. Thank you, Haya You're so nice.

Yeah I have found them in various gardens where I have lived or my grandparents' place when I was a kid.
So I have picked up quite a few of them in my life. Even used to take them to flies so they could stick their loooooooooooong tongues to catch them.

They are not easy to find, but it's awesome when one DOES find them. And so sweet when there are babies also. They are basically born live (the mother doesn't lay eggs), so usually they will all be in the same area even though the mother doesn't look after them.
