Abbey of the Genesee.This statue has seen much more weather than Our Lady of the Genesee in front of the current Abbey. It remains a much-loved place of prayer for guests.
Bethlehem Retreat House is over one hundred years old, and was probably a hotel back in the days of the Genesee Valley Canal that ran nearby. It was the first monastery for the founders of the Abbey of the Genesee in 1951 when they arrived in the Genesee Valley.
