I have an old camera- Canon 60D. Lens used for this image was a Sigma Wide Angle Lens. Settings: 200 ISO, 10mm, f/10, 1/6 second.
This is an image where I turned to the HDR technique. I used 3 images at multiple exposures and then used HDR Pro in Photoshop to get the final result.

A magnificent sunset indeed, and the landscape is no less breathtaking. The scene wouldn't have quite the same impact without the tree-covered slopes of this seemingly limitless expanse of mountains, I think, since they convey a sense of primeval mystery, contrasting with the clear openness of the sky. Composition is great, too, be it the ratio of earth to sky or the way successive layers of the mountains can be seen right until the horizon. Congratulations !

Thank you. I did take 3 images at different exposures and merge them together in PS. I had to in order to get just the right amount of highlights and shadows in certain areas. I'm not very skilled at this technique but I definitely like the outcome, rather than without this technique. I appreciate your feedback. Thanks!

I am a big believer in the virtues of Photomatix. Photoshop tone mapping just doesn't do it for me. Do you not have that program? Keep practicing at those skills which you are uncomfortable. They will become second nature in no time. You're welcome.
