This was on aΒ Rosa rubrifolia's leaf and I have no idea what kind of.. virus, mushroom, sickness, etc this is?? And I can find 0 info on this on the web.. I doubt anyone here knows what this is but any info would be appreciated!Anyway it's rly cool lookin lmao
EDIT : NVM THANK U DEAR WATCHER... It's a Diplolepis rosae!

I'm not sure if it's a Dipolepsis rosae - gall seems to be located in wrong place on the plant... but it still might be it.

Hmm.. Very true.. : O If I remember well, there were more of these galls on the bush, but they were all placed near the base of the leaves..
No idea what it could exactly be though, but I'm still glad I now know how this neat lil thing got created!

Idk if you'd want that, I just learned that these beautiful puffs are actually caused by lil wasps! (Diplolepis rosae)Β I think their larvae are in there.. whoops! :'3c

I did a little digging too and I believe it's a "mossy rose gall". They're created by the cynipid gall wasp.

WOAAH NICE!!! It makes so much sense now... Damnit! Why did I not think of that before! These lil wasps make plants do such strange and beautiful things (like on oak seeds! :Β www.notcot.com/images/2013/08/β¦ )

Haha, you're welcome. Galls and the like certainly do come in lots of interesting shapes. I'd never seen one like this before though! And what a great colour it is.
