Just listened to that song for the first time earlier and loved it. Went on to seek out alternate, live and cover versions. Anyways. I love this photo. It took my brain and I just a moment to discern what was going on, and I love that about photos.

I hear a really low bass note being held as this dancer begins a routine nobody will ever see.
The source of light is unnatural. Not literally. Ethereal.
Is the dancer kneeling down or standing up? One giant leap to get out of this dark place? or a cool calm to stay under the water and be safe.
In the deep nobody can hurt you. So be free to dance like a ballerina. :3

Oh wow, this is awesome. You've managed to capture it in a way that makes it look like the shadows are forming a leg. The angle is effective, keeping the focus on the entirety of the leg, darkness and all; a lesser angle would have at aspect. The shadows of the feet are at such an intriguing angle, it really pops. The setting is dark and isolated; gloomy photos is where you as a photographer really shine, and this fine example is no exception. I absolutely love what you've done.
