In "Phineas", you get to see the boys meet for the first time, and then it's similar to the book up until right before Gene goes into Finny's house in Boston. Gene is waaay more of an uncaring douchenozzle, but it's easier to see his obsession with Finny that way. Worth reading, but don't expect great things

It's excellent! It should be pretty easy to find on Amazon, too, if I'm not mistaken. I got my copy for aabout four dollars. It has a few extra facts about Finny that make him even more hilarious and likable.
Yep, I tried to cram a few classmates' names on there. Nowadays I stick more with just the star he engraved.
