i remember reading this book in the library and i remember thinking 'damn this book.'. cause i could'nt help but burst out laughing. i found it amazing he actualy said that then just left pooor nancy

You should check out an extra from Nancy drew PC game. "the Deadly Device"; Frank leaves a phone message somewhat hinting about his feelings for Nancy.

I started reading Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys again for my Children's Lit class, and read this book. This part make me burst out laughing, which actually woke up my husband (as I was reading in bed at two in the morning)... This comic-thing is perfect!

I remember reading in one of the 'new' HB series a scene where a high-on-meds Frank comments how pretty he thinks Nancy's hair is. xD (Just saying. Frank's cute when he's not fully conscious.)

I LOVE that part of...whatever book that is. Think Frank also swears in it. But yeh, morphine Frank is fantastic because he kept losing his thoughts.

I just read this book last night, for the second time. The first time I read it, it was the first book in the way of HB and ND I'd read. We'd picked it up from the library because I just bought a ND computer game. Anywho, the entire time reading it, I could only think, "damn, this Frank sounds cute." and "damn, Frank and Nancy are so my ship."
AND THEN I FOUND OUT HOW BIG FRANK/NANCY WAS IN THE ORIGINAL SUEPRMYSTERIES AND HOW BIG A FANBASE IT HAD, SO I DIED AND WENT TO HEAVEN.
Anywho, I love that scene. You did a beautiful job on this.

Nancy looks lovely, and particularly soft in the second and final frame. Frank looks so Frank-ly, which is basically an HB equivilant-term for darling and adorable. I particularly love how dazed he looks in the fourth frame.
