Anyway, here's a gift of sorts to ~StoriesThatNeverWere because I said I would. More to come, especially of the 40s. It's Frank and Nancy (and chibi greasers George and Joe) as preps in the 50s. Frank's asking Nancy if she'd care to dance.

Nancy's dress is actually one that my sister bought at a vintage shop in Duluth the day of my cousin's wedding. The slip is white, as is the sheer material of the dress itself. The polka dots are yellow and black, and the the velvet ribbon around her waist is black. In the back, the collar swoops to a zipper mid-back, where there's another black bow.

I got Frank's hair (after much toiling and hope that he wouldn't look like Ned OR Dean Venture) from an old bookcover that was displayed in some history of Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys book. And for a very short while in the 50s, right before uptight assholes took over the books and edited the soul and life from them, Joe had a greaser hairstyle. Good times.

Also, the song "Sh-Boom" is by the Chords originally.
