Yeah, it was pretty fast. The meta info says 1.3 seconds, but the lighting was so shitty that the only light that made a difference was the flash, which synchronizes down to 1/250 second. Sooo... You could say 1/250s.

I'll have to correct you there. Your camera has one of the best flash synchronizations on the market, with 1/500s. The fastest shutter possible on your camera is 1/4000s. So yes, D50 = awesome.
