Lin needs love. I think it had always irked me Tenzin moved on and met another waaay younger girl, had a bunch of kids, and was happy while Lin is alone, completely obsessed with her job and has such twistedly repressed emotions it skrewed up her chi and was making her physically sick. Linzin

I don't think it was like that. The creators already confirmed that they had had a rough patch because Lin didn't want kids, and it just didn't work out.

Its possible as Pema is 16 years younger then Tenzin and a 15 years younger then Lin. Thus Pema could have not even existed at this point in Tenzin's and Lin's lives

I thought of that, which is partially why I drew them so young. there is no other complication (pema) at this point of time. this would have been the begining... to me haha

Though Pema ruined next gen Taang there is something about her that makes up for it. I really can not explain but unlike Katara who I really do not like. Pema is my favorite female character in Legend of Korra after Korra herself(second favorite non-bender from both series). There just a spark about her that only seen from Sokka

I think there might be more to the story. Maybe Tenzin and Lin were courting for a very long time but when Lin became more like her mother, she wanted to head the task force of Metalbenders once Toph stepped down. Maybe Tenzin was dutied to have offspring in order to revive the lost Air Nomad population. Tenzin and Lin probably grew apart because of their seperate duties and because Pema stuck her neck out, confessing her love and loyalty to Tenzin, that's how they got together. Tenzin, after all, said that he and Lin grew apart and had different goals. Lin probably didn't want to have kids or just didn't have the time for it.

they both are very reserved and serious so neither of them could get their feelings across 100%
