This aircraft is set in an alternate universe where WW2 extended over a longer period of time with Nazi Germany having greater control over it's manufacturing capabilities, allowing them to prolong the war in Europe and push even further into Russia. Being part of an allegiance with Germany, Japan was also a much more formidable threat to the United States of America and had set her sights on the nearest allied nation, Australia, for it's coal and fertile land to help fight against the US. With a large amount of help from the US, Australia was able to keep the Japanese from landing troops on Australian land however repeated attacks from ever increasing high altitude Japanese bombers were crippling the Aussie supply networks. Therefore, a joint unit was made between America and Australia to build an aircraft capable of reaching altitudes that would surpass the current Japanese bombers and then some. As a result, the JX-1 was produced. it was based off the German Horten 229 with it's large wingspan allowing it to generate large amounts of lift to achieve the desired altitude, and was fitted with two high powered compressed air turbines to get to max height within minutes. This aircraft was built with defense in mind so it only had a small fuel supply that would last about 20 minutes filled to the brim. The JX-1 was a top gap measure to help combat against high altitude threats and was later replaced with more cost effective high altitude ground to air missiles.
