Stripa mine has been around for a while. Situated in the heart of Bergslagen, Sweden, the mine was in use until 1977. In a document from 1741 it is mentioned that Stripa "iron ore mine is so old that nobody knows when it first was discovered and put to use".Today Stripa is an iron ore mining museum and the facilities are used to host various cultural events in the region.
