Just a fun little doodle I've been doing on the side for the last few weeks when my portfolio stuff was getting to me. It was fun to take a break every now and then.Nevile, Hermione, Ron, Harry and Ginny in the first and seventh books. All of the younger ones came out how I pictured them, but only Hermione and Ron of the older group look like how I picture them. Neville and Ginny aren't too far off. Might fix it later.

I love how Harry and Ginny are looking at each other, and then so are Ron and Hermione. Too bad Luna wasn't in the first book.

I really wanted to add Luna, too! I love her. But I just couldn't picture her as a 10-year-old for some reason.

Aww that is so damn cute! I love little Ginny and Harry's hoodie and Ron's Chudley Canons t-shirt is such a great detail! The expression on big Hermione's face is also great, and so is little Neville's (poor Neville!)

I love their appearance & personality in this, but dang, the firsties are tiny. I think I grew 5 or 6 inches from age 11 to 17. The height difference seems to be more drastic than that.
But then, I can't draw. And I still love this.

I'm glad you like it! I was really struggling with the first-years. I couldn't find a good reference for 11 year-olds, surprisingly. But you're right; they're too small. I think they should come up to the shoulder of the older versions. Thanks for the tip!

I love both skinny kid legs AND converse. Though, sadly, I draw converse because it is really the only shoe I can draw. I tried to change it up a bit on older Ginny with a handball shoe I once saw. Might need more practice...

sweet! but I think it would look better if you changed the proportions of the younger ones. they have teen proportions, what makes them look like the same age as the older ones, only re-sized. 10-years olds have much shorter legs and bigger heads... but I think you knew that already... whatever.

Well, I think the heads are ok, actually, but I totally agree about the legs. I tend to always draw legs too long, even on grown ups. It looks odd on 11-year-olds... Thanks for the tips! I'll keep them in mind when I re-work this!
