You did it! The hell, you did it! He's fantastic, fabulous, gorgeous, breathtaking... *I'm running out of epithets* super-duper sexy devil. And dammit, I totally adore concepts with b&w color scheme and when smth. is done in reds. Really, I'm just... WTF, can I express a single thought about this clearly? See what you've done to me?
P.S. The hair and wrinkles are just great. You know what I mean

You're both are perfect.

Wooooo... he was young at that time, when he was acting in Β«21 Jump StreetΒ», maybe. And you didn't blend at all?
It is again a fabulous drawing . I love the rose, really. Plus your own little touch to the lighting. Instant
!

When the 21 jump street series were on TV i was so little i had no idea who Johnny was. but i had a huge crush on him hahah
i didn't blend, no... i tried on one part, saw it looked ugly, erased it all and started again without blending
thank you so much!

Wow! You're really talented. I know with a piece of paper I would reluctantly erase everything or big parts... Easier done with a tablet, I have less scruples then. I still admire your determination.
(Who wouldn't have a crush on that guy, BTW... Ah, at least half of the planet, of which I'm almost sure...)

thank you!
well thankfully, the part i tried to blend wasn't that big (the right part of his chest, on the right part of the rose), and i've learned my lesson the hard way with erasing reluctantly i use thick paper now and erase slowly and patiently not to wrinkle it, because i've done it a million times before
i no longer have a crush, but he is HOT hahah
i was little, and really in love with him

You' re most welcome.
Ah, patience and determination, I told you! I'd have given up or reconsidered in the middle ... What was the lesson by the way? Curiosity, bear with me
.

haha well it actually takes less time than when you blend. i just think i practiced my hands to shade softly (without the pencil marks very visible, unless intended - like on the t-shirt), because when i blend my drawings, it is important to make everything really smooth and the best way to achieve that is to practice smooth pencil strokes while shading
so some parts i think even might look blended a little bit, like on his face maybe. but i was just careful with the pencil
the lesson was not to reluctantly erase whenever it looks a bit odd, because eventually it ruins paper (makes it grainy because the eraser takes off the top layer of it, the smooth one), and then everything you shade over it must be perfect cause there's no more room for mistakes also, to erase slowly or my hand likes to slip and take the drawing down with it, so it gets wrinkled
and it's hard to straighten it out again.

I see. Thanks a lot for those details. It's always good to have an idea how others do, especially in my case as I need to learn it all by myself despite the bases. It's fun though, that's the greatest part of it .
