Astounding, triumphant, spectacular! I knew I couldn't go wrong entrusting you with the task of bringing Kuryama to life. You have exceeded all my expectations! 
Oh, man, I don't even know where to begin. Therefore, I will start by echoing what a bunch of other have already said: The hair is absolutely amazing! The way it gently sweeps down to frame her face... exquisite. Like the others have said, it looks completely real; I could stare at it for hours.
Her expression gives me shivers. She looks like she wants desperately to say something, but knows words would be the wrong choice of comfort. I see in those eyes, in that face, an understanding of mortal pain that pierces the heart and soul, a pain to which she once lost herself but has overcome.
My mental image of her, which was at times elusively vague and other times concretely specific, has been perfectly realized by your excellent penmanship. That face, that beautiful, ethereal, yet strongly-defined face, is unlike anything I could have imagined, but it fulfills my vision perfectly. The great thing about you as opposed to me is, as an artist, you come up with the all the little details that really make the image what it is, while I can only envision generalities. You took what generalities I gave you and absolutely took off. I can't adequately express how much I love the ethnicity of her face; elusive, hard to define, yet unmistakably present. Her slanted eyes are enchanting. I am also in awe of the seamless coexistence of smoothness and sharpness in her face.
Gah, I simply cannot compliment enough! I am entranced by the face of this lovely woman!

I must say, I am frackin' blown away by the positive response! After I finished I was a bit "blargh" and had to do much more involved PS retouching to get me happy. But I was hoping I got close to your picture of her (and, apparently, the answer to THAT is a resounding yes). I must say, your Varela/Doig tip helped me A LOOOOOT. (Although, actually, I didn't have a Doig reference...so I just imagined that into my Varela ref. Teehee.)
I did want to make her look, hmm, a bit haunted, which I finally did manage to achieve. I wish I had the chops to illustrate her first scene, where she's unconscious and crackling with uncontrolled Force powers. Hmmmmmmm...I may yet. At least in some way, shape or form. Thank you. I think this is probably where I confess I retouched her in Photoshop, becaused I just...HATED...her eyes. They were wonky. Yes, I still have problems with wonky eyes. But now - ahhh, much better.
