a year and a few months ago i applied to the tim'rous beastie anthology but i didn't get ini decided for this month to do the story i had planned for it!
the anthology was related to stories like the secret of NIMH, watership down, and plague dogs
plague dogs is one of my fave animated films so i took my hand at it... as a result the topic is a bit morbid and there's kind of implied animal death in the comic, but nothing graphic
(the title comes from the fact that the main unnamed squirrel is writing two separate things, report entries and pages in a diary, that reflect objective and subjective informtion)

THIS IS SO GOOD. I had to read through it three times just to bask in how well made it is, I adore the art style and how you depict changes in tension. Triple laughing is my favorite panel, but all her body language is great. I love her!
Are the animals they're watching also intelligent, or are they just regular animals? I feel like the more realistic designs could just reflect how the squirrels see them (I think that's how it worked in NIMH but it's been a while)

I'm a little confused of what happend. Did triple hit the other with a stick?

the comic has to do with these two squirrels watching for the moment where other animals realize they're in trouble (usually right when it's too late)
the first time this is mentioned, a cat snaps a twig, a bird realize it's there and turns in time to see the cat pouncing
triple snapping the twig behind the other squirrels back was kind of to mimic that, like a prank
she shocked the squirrel, who then turned around to see it was just triple pulling a joke!
