It's summer! Well, it's almost summer, but it's June at least, and so come the first sightings of the bikini ninja.Temporary break from art trades for an art jam (there's a lot you can do with art, apparently). Drawn for 's First Annual OC Sexy Summertime Swimsuit Bikini Jammy Jam (TM) , although to be honest I'll draw bikini ninjas at the drop of anything commonly dropped.
Incidentally, surfing in the North Pacific in a string bikini is a surefire recipe for accidental nudity (and probably very cold, at that).

Now, I will admit that it took me a while, but once I was able to look beyond her overall awesome-ness, I noticed her necklace. Would you be so kind as to tell me what it is?

It's a SEAL Trident. (Presumably her dad's.) It's actually too small there, I got it confused with jump wings, which are a bit smaller; when I looked up a photo reference I had already inked.
I wasn't sure if I wanted her to look like she was heading into the ocean and looking at it expectantly, or done for the day and giving it a fond look before leaving, but luckily it works for either.

A necklace from her father is wonderful touch.
My guess as to the going in or heading out would have to side more with the former, if only because there is no water on her... umm... body, and no noticeable towel. I would think she's scoping out the waves, and seeing if she found the right spot for her surfing.
OK, this may seem silly, but I'm still loving the necklace, I may have to find a small way to incorporate that into my story. Such a little thing, but it just adds something, I think.

It's kinda the wrong shape, but it's big enough that I could wallpaper it by cropping it so it's just focused on the top half - so just a picture down to a little above her knees.
Alternately I could try to add on more beach, but this would have to go on the right, and would make it awkward for most windows users; adding a block of color on the left might work though. I'll mess with it a bit and see.
The ninja board goes way back, but I only turned up the fake Chinese menu font recently, and I had to use it.

Ahhhh, gotcha. I can understand that. I use mac, and have my icons on the right, so yeah, most would probably have theirs opposite.
