A dinosaur, hooray! And apparently an intelligent one too (I like the way he thinks).A full grown Utahraptor is apparently quite large (20+ feet head to tail), so this one's probably not full size yet. And the color is anyone's guess, in rooting around the web it seems they can be any color from green to orange to purple. I like how orange looks, so I stuck with that. This is not a scientific illustration in many respects.

Utahraptors are the dinosaurs you see in Jurassic Park - real Velociraptors were only about 2 ft. tall and weighed about 35 lbs. In order for them to have any menace the movie called for much larger Velociraptors; Utahraptors would have been perfect, but the first Utahraptor fossils were only discovered in 1993, the same year the movie came out.

Cool I never knew that was a real dinosaur. Of course movie wise I think they would have gone with Velociraptors anyway as the name sounds more menacing as well. I think people might picture Utahraptors as coming to your door and preaching the word of the new Dino testament lol
