Description Oh look, it's the same fox-tailed girl who went to see the Watchmaker. I think a story is brewing in here.   I'll have to do something about it.

Her ride is kinda bored by the book her master is reading to her. (Maybe because it's always the same book over and over every time they go somewhere.) If anybody has an idea, I need a name for the species. Because "hairy horned fox-badger with bird legs" sounds bad. XD They're supposed to be quite common riding animal among the forest people. This particular one is female, despite having horns (both males and females have them, and they're generally difficult to tell apart). People having an animal feature (such as, in this case, fox tail) is also normal in this world, in fact, it's a rule.

Drawn and painted by hand, assembled digitally. Now I don't know which category to put it in.

EDIT: the species is now officially called honehro, thanks to my helpful and imaginative friend Kidaelo ^^

Oooh, I love it! You'll have to create and tell us the story behind it!

Welcome!

I know what you mean: my to-do list is so long it almost needs its own to-do list to make sure I put everything on it...

Wow, love the detail, especially the girl's dress/cloak thing and the ornaments on the creature's horns! And the story, such as it is so far, seems really interesting. I can't wait too see more! I wish I could help you think of a name, but I can't even come up with a name for my own original species. I had one that I got from a name generator, but I didn't really like it so I'm hoping to come up with a new one. Maybe an online name generator could help you? As for the categories, when I draw it by hand and then just add, say, a background digitally, I tend to put it in traditional because that's how the main part of the drawing was done. Then I usually just mention in the description that the background is digital. I don't know if that's the right way to do it, but that's what I did.

Yeah, that's what I did in the end, I figured traditional art category would be most fitting. Thank you so much for the comment, I'm glad you like it!

The way you put the pictures together reminds me of how the movie Bambi was made. (:
"Honehro" was an idea that popped in my head for species for the creature. :P maybe I will try a couple more real quick, you don't have to use them, but maybe they will help. ^.^
Honehro - Behrnabel - Careena - Mnuemonot - Hoonalolly - ...... um.... Bird Legged Horned Fox Badger? or Bulfubus... hmmm..... okay that's all I got. :b (for now, interesting names are just my favorite;)

Oh, you're right, they have made painted layers of forest for Bambi!
Hoonalolly? That's so cute! XD They're all awesome names, I think a Honehro or a Bulfubus would be most fitting maybe... I have to decide yet, but hank you so much, it was really helpful!

I'm happy to have helped a little. Names are my favorite! I could come up with names all day long and not get bored! and if you don't use the Hoonalolly, I want to. C: That was probably my favorite of the bunch.... but I don't really have anything to use it for, so I guess never-mind. /u\ hahaha

If you're okay with it, I'd just like to steal honehro. Erm, how do you pronounce that?

Kidaelo In reply to Penguinity [2014-08-05 18:04:42 +0000 UTC]

However you like. :b I pronounce it exactly how it is spelled according to strict english grammar. :P So I guess I would say it like this: "Hone-eh-roe" With three syllables and a long "O" sound at the beginning and end with the "eh" being like in the slang, "meh" where it it is a short "e" sound. (: Also, in my weird love for honey I keep thinking in my head the "hone" could be more of a "hun." Feel free to say it however you think it should be said though. C:

Hahaha I always like to spell names exactly how I say them. ^^- It makes them look more interesting, and people understand and can read them better without pronouncing it totally weird. /u\

Hmmmmmmm, I should still save Hoonalolly for if I ever write another story. ^,^ I'm glad I was able to help! C:

Thanks! Yes, that seems to be the most logical way to pronounce it, I'll stick to that! Whoa, thank you, it is officially a honehro now! ^^
And you should definitely save Hoonalolly, maybe it will be needed sometimes, who knows? Even if you don't use it for a story, maybe you can pass it on to someone who needs a character name. Actually, it would make a great Pokemon name, I think.

You helped a lot, thanks! ^^
