Contest entry for this contest: revois.deviantart.com/journal/…This is the first time I combined ink wash drawing with digital coloring, and I'm actually pretty happy with the result.
Since it's a dragon-themed contest, I came up with the idea of the steampunkish world where dragons used to be a common species, but now there's only one left, the last of her kind. She makes friends with a prototype of a mechanical dragon, the first of his kind.
The mecha dragon was also supposed to have wings, but for some reason his creators never attached them (though you can see the part on his shoulder where the wing was supposed to fit). (That, and his wings would obscure the other dragon. )

Wow, that's such a cool idea - the backstory, I mean. I'm glad the dragon made a friend because it's so sad to think of her being the only one left.

I do love the contests, though I never expect to win anything. It's more about the challenge and having fun. Not that I would mind winning a prize though. XD But there are so many amazing and stunning entries, I'm strategically not getting my hopes up.
