Description my first highres image - tried it at 6000 x 8000 but that was a tough one on my machine

PS: by the way - does anyone know a good tutorial for creating gas giants or spiral galaxies. they are hard to find on the web and those i found are insufficient in my eyes

thx

Pretty good for your first.

I like the idea, but your execution needs refining.

The neb looks like you took several tutorials and meshed them together, which kinda looks wonky in parts.
And your closest planet's texture looks a but flat and blurry and it's atmosphere looks...odd...

Other than that It looks nice!

thank you very much!

YouΒ΄re right about the nebula - by now i learned that sometimes Wless is more" but i still find kinda hard do not overdo things...

I also had trouble with the big planet and i am still looking for a good tutorial - maybe you know something?

He he I know what you mean

For the larger planet I'd use spherize a bit more and the warp tool to make it look more curved.

A simple use of the blending options's Bevel and emboss tool would help cure some of the bluryness and make it pop a bit more.

Did you make the larger planet as a small planet first then blow it up?

What I tell you next depends on how you initially created it.

Thank you for your answer!

The close up plante i did using this tutorial by Baro [link] However i couldnΒ΄t get it really right. Maybe a blow up technique would be better?

thank you

Personally I think his doesn't look good at all, his tut I mean. I'd still take the texture and curve it more.

I think I actually have a few in my tutorial folder somewhere. I can send you them if I find them!

By the way. The picture is nice, I love it. The color contrast is really nice, and it looks good without the almost standard monochromatic color overlay.

One thing that I do notice is the big blue planet feels like its lacking that pop. It kinda looks too flat. Though it might just be me.
