This is how I imagine Phineas and Ferb's missing parents are. I assume that Ferb's Mum is dead because hey, she's a missing English mother in a cartoon that makes fun of cliches.And I reckon that Linda met her first husband during her popstar years- and I reckon he was a major sleazeball rockstar just 'cause it makes me laugh way too much. I think that was probably a divorce.
Done pretty quickly, not a fan of the drawing itself but I liked the idea of these two too much to abandon it

Wow, that's really cool idea for their missing parents. It would be awesome if they ever make an episode wich explains what happend to them. I am imagining Phineas' dad like a cool rocker type, too.

Unfortunately I think I heard that the creators aren't going to ever show two things; the kids going back to school, and Phineas and Ferb's missing parents. Such a shame

Hm, it would be interesting to see them in school. However the show seems to be about interesting things to do during the school vacation, so I doubt they are going to make school episodes. However, who knows...

although in my head phineas's dad was a really cool dude who died in a car crash and ferb's mom is french (which explains the bastille day love) and she just left lawrence with their kid. BUT HEY, DIFFERENT STROKES FOR DIFFERENT FOLKS.

lol this is so weird a few days ago i was talking to my friend about phineas and ferb and this was just like my idea about what happened to their 'missing' parents. of course it was the other way around, i ahd phineas's dad dead and ferb's mom alive, but basically the same XD

yeah it does, i mean i never gave much thought as to who there 'missing' parents were except for why they weren't included in the show, like i assumed that the reason ferbs mom isn't because she lives back in england and that phineas's dad would be dead considering they never talk about him, though he would prolly at least live in the US. and considering how things are if phineas dad was still around there is a good chance he and candace would visit him, like vanessa visits Dr.D.
haha sorry for my rambling, it's just my parents are divorced so i was kinda going off of what things are like in my family, with half siblings and step-parents and such.

haha yeah if this a real life thing, it would be likely that their dad would be an unsavory douch rockstar type guy, like a k fed type, and idk maybe he walked out on them when candace was a little girl and phineas was a baby, hence why they never speak of him and since he walked out and left them they don't have to visit and it's likely he doesn't want anything to do with them ...or maybe i'm putting way to much thought into it
but if it was like that, wouldn't an interesting episode be if their dad came to see them one day out of the blue after not seeing or speaking to them for years? full of DRAMA lol

omg yea, you kno to make up for not being there he tries to make it up to candace esp. since she remembers him best, and tries to get her to be a famous singer or even just offers her to come live on the road with him [since he is a rocker] to travel to gigs and all that other stuff rockers do.
you know how we imagine linda and her ex,? it kinda reminds me of the suite life of zac and cody, how their parents are, except for more hate between linda and her ex then their parents.

It would be lovely if he were doing it to make up his absence to her, though I like the idea that he's doing it for his own gain. I like to think that he managed Linda's career before (or after) being a rockstar himself and thinking 'You know what the kids want these days? Teeny-bopper stars, yes indeed.' It would depend on whether the story needed him to be an antagonist or a '

yea i can see the story going both ways, it would be nice to have him come in and try to be real sweet to make it up to them, but it would also be interesting to have him be the bad guy and doing things for his own gain, like his career has gone down the toilet and he needs candace so he can be her manager and get all the fame and fortune from exploiting her.
i actually think i prefer the sweet one, since it would be more like the show, but the other one would be very interesting as well.

I agree! If it were actually in the show I would wholeheartedly back the warm nice one, because it would fit the show and you can't pile real angst on the characters, it would be wrong somehow.
But as long as there is a fandom to mess around in, angst is great XD.

they should do the nice one in the show, it would be uber cute, and the side story with doofenshmirtz could be that doof's dad is coming to visit him and he wants to build this really great -inator to impress his father who never really liked him very much.

Of course, there is the third opinion that Doof is Phineas' dad. Not one I subscribe to, but it makes a lot of sense as far as mechanical interests and hair goes.

XD If they pooled their resources they could pretty much become professional detectives. Though I reckon Vanessa would have to slap Candace to her senses at least once an episode to get her to stop screaming. This is such an awesome idea.
I would say poor Ferb, for finding out he's related to Vanessa, but since they're not blood relatives I shouldn't think it would matter beyond a few cheap gags

haha yea vanessa is more calm and collected, candace has spaz attacks at least 5 times a day, so yeah i can imagine that there will be quite a bit of slapping to get her to her senses XD [reminds me of the movie clue, ms. peacock is screaming hysterically bc she thinks she's been poisened, mr.green then walks over gives her a huge slap across the face and everyone stares at him, "what...i had t-tto stop her ff-from screaming" (he's the nervous shy guy so that's another reason why they were staring)]
haha i was going to mention about how now ferb and vanessa would be step-siblings, but i dicided not to since it doesn't really matter esp. to the fans since everyone pairs phineas and ferb together even though they-re step-brothers, so why not pair vanessa and ferb even though they're step-siblings?
but in the show it would prolly give ferb a shock and make him all depressed for like a day, then someone new would come along and things would be all better XD

God that would be a sexy fanfiction. Cliched uptight british woman has overwhelming sexual desire for sleazeball american rockstar, and vice versa.
However, I sort of picture Linda just getting knocked up by, maybe, her manager and, because he's a sleazeball, left her when he found out, and therefore Lindana was over. That doesn't explain Phineas at all, though, cuz he's the second child. I never pictured them married, tho.

Yeah, that was actually my first thought! Until the question of Phineas comes to mind. They needn't have been married though, just long term partners. I reckon that no matter their arrangement he was sleeping around behind her back anyway. I wonder if he sends them Christmas presents?
