Description
This be Johnny. Johnny is my first anthro-charcater.Most likely my last too.
Anyways, why is he called Johnny? You ask. My dad named him Johhny-Fox but because that's a pub and he isn't supposed to be a fox, I just kept the Johnny part. ;o
This was a challenge by that dude that lives you know, in that place by that thing. Yeah, him! He also goes by Fudging. Check out his gallery, foo's.
Again, comments and critique are welcome.
(Helpful critique, may I add. Not just "let's go bash pentogram's work about" stuff. 'Kay? xD Good.)

You take this at a totally different approach to me; for a start, you did more than just an outline, for you added blocky colour. Hmm, now for my crits...
Firstly, if it were my drawing I'd rub out the line defining his head in front of his eye, and make it so it's one even curve from where it starts now to above the eyebrow, at about the same height as it is now. Then I'd push the ears and that line around the back of his head over a bit, to give it more bulk. The only other thing I'd do that isn't frivilous would be to edit the arm on the surface a bit more, so it points straight at the "camera". We'd only see the knuckles and a bit of the forearm. It takes a little practise to master strange angles on hands and such, but being able to guess what a hand looks like from any angle is a valuable skill. Also, a little practise at the "dead fish" hand would be good, for it is the most common pose you'll ever see the hand in. What do I mean by that? The shape your hand is when it's on your mouse now, roughly. People's hands always just droop like a dead fish, so if someone could teach you how to do it (from different angles too) then you'll be learning one of the things you'll need most regularly, when drawing human (or human-esque xD) characters.

If I did an outline it wouldn't have an texture or substance - it would just be lots of connected lines lying on a piece of paper. Boring.
Thanks for the crits.

I get bored by having to move my hand back and forth and back and forth and back and forth (ect) when colouring. I like to draw quickly

I did it on my PC desk which is white and had to attack it with an eraser (rubber, whatever) afterwards because it was all silver and blotchy. So was my hand. xD

Serves you right for shading I did a cool piece with shading (and a fair amount of detail) today while the power was down, so I'll try and get that scanned in... It may be too complicated to view something that isn't the original though.

How can it be complicated to look at something?

Nuu, I mean the pencil and stuff would get harder to see on a copy. And I couldn't get the right filetype on our new scanner anyway so bleh.

Thank you.
I know, it was unintentional but I don't want to change it. xD
