A little something I did to test a few coloring related things, the Junk Rats Gun-Wagon. They are a three woman mercenary group moving around the desert in their jury-rigged guntruck blasting away any enemy they've been paid to liquidate. The truck chassis is an old Soviet military truck which has been modded extensively, most obviously by shortening and elevating the chassis. This gives the truck better power to weight ratio as well as improving the mobility. Other custom fittings include a winch, bigger tires, extra pneumatic tank, custom flatbed with a fixed AA gun, roof rack and storage compartments here and there for various items. Sleeping is often managed whereever possible depending on the situation- on the truck bed beside the gun, in the cabin, under the truck or next to it under a tarp. The AA gun is a vintage twin 37mm AA gun which fires HE rounds from 10 round box magazines of which 10 are carried on the truck. A tarp can be rigged over the flatbed to protect from the sun by hooking it to four poles inserted into each corner.Β

I definitely dig the attention to details. Doing realistic weapons, gear and vehicle also goes a long way and deserves praise
If I wanted to nitpick I'd say they need some way to fasten everything down so their precious stuff doesn't go flying at the first bump, but I get the artistic appeal of the "pile of junk on a flatbed" effect ^^

Or pick up that one magazine on the ground, which is important when you only have 10. I actually looked around for all 10 when I read that part.

Oh this steel colossus has succeeded well. It fits so well with the apocalyptic desert theme that it could also appear in films like Max Payne. The colors are also well chosen, it has a rust flair that also emphasizes the dirt. The whole details like the turret are drawn very detailed and has the effect that the car generally appears larger and more important. The characters are also very naturally involved in the environment and are unaffected by all of this. good work.

this has to be the coolest fighting vehicle i've seen since the SAS's jeeps and truck during WW2! i love all the small details they put on that gun-wagon to improve their everyday life in the desert, i also realy appreciate how well you've mixed up old school gear( KAR98, AA-gun, helmets, that weird looking smg) with more modern stuff(ak-47, glock, T-shirt) to the way the girl in the back has tied her boots, everything is just perfect!Β Β Β
