Aaaaww! That's really sweet! I love tarantulas! I'm the only girl in my family that's not afraid of spiders.

Gorgeous, looks like a grammostola Aureostriata, AKA Chaco golden knee. What a beauty! I have the same species, though a fair bit smaller still.

Creepy crawley. Haven't seen one of these guys since we moved from Hibiscus.

Karley, you need to go back to Hibiscus on a creepy Halloween night and hunt tarantulas. Say hi to la familia. Adios.

My wife also hates spiders. As a matter of fact, she has a phobia.

i seem to think i do but it's different than anything i've ever heard before. whenever i see a spider (well not hte little ones) my right arm tingles & gets thousands of goose bumps, but nowhere else on my body will there be one goose bump. on top of that whenever i get bit by an insect or mosquito my right arm fills with goose bumps as well.

That is really strange that yo get goose bumps, especially when it is only on the right arm. I guess the best thing is to keep away from any insects. In our area, there are usually lots of mosquitoes. Thanks for writing.

I've always dug spiders and this fella's no exception. Is this a Brazillian breed? Looks familiar.

It is a cool spider. I do not remember the name even though I looked it up for a cutline. I am sure I have it in file info in one of my photos. I will let you know. Thanks for the comment Amigo Shawn.

I don't know where your cat is. Maybe we can ask the tarantula.

haha... I was just kidding...
this spider looks like a hairy monster, and she's got the same colour as my cat...

so maybe she ate my cat, and now she's walking around in my her fur!
