Well, here we go!First piece to test out switching to Clip Studio Paint!
yea I know the anatomy is garbage.
this was originally just meant to be a quick throwaway doodle, but then I suddenly got curious about testing out Clip Studio's inking brushes. Then 90 minutes later I was like, "aw heck, might as well polish up what I can."
It's far from perfect (lines look clunky and childish, imo), but I'm really happy I gave it a shot.
I haven't seriously cleanly inked anything in YEARS.
(my work schedule's been shitty for the past 2 years, barely had time to draw.)
(for years, all I could do was change the blue sketch layer to black, and call it finished.) otherwise I'd never get anything done...
Might try coloring it sometime in the future.
Critiques for myself:
- This is my first time inking (since several years), but I still gotta critique, gotta keep improving.
- I really don't like how "chunky" some of the lines look, particularly around the hair and edges of the jacket.
- Just reminds me of old "college art" where I didn't know how to ink anything? so I gotta improve that asap.
