Description
...another day spent doing a ton of thinking...To make sketchy line art like this one REALLY FAST,
the secret is to STAY ZOOMED OUT, at 100%!
DO NOT ZOOM IN! OTHERWISE, you're gonna be working on the line art for hours!
Perhaps I should temporarily disable comments on my art?
But I don't think that will exactly help...
Certain IRL ppl can still SEE my art, and that's gonna make me all anxious and scared and stupid stuff.
1.) LACK OF TIME.
Due to my full-time job, I constantly feel RUSHED to finish my art...
So they never look as good as they could, had I given the proper time needed.
2.) I don't know WHAT to draw.
Thought about using idea/character generators, but those just don't seem to MOTIVATE me enough...
3.) Fear of failure?
Fear of taking a risk? I don't even know what...
Anyhoo, it's just a tough time for me right now.
Still scraping by, trying to find a solution to all this...

if you disable comments then you will also disable the positive comments!! so i think you should keep the comments.
lack of time... i am not the right person to give anyone else time management advice. but yeah this is why i want to get a part-time job instead of full-time eheheh
you don't know what to draw... you should draw things that are related to things you like. for example, draw based on your favorite song, or favorite tv show character. if you need more detailed advice on coming up with ideas, contact me because i am great with ideas. my constant problem is that i have way too many drawing ideas and can't draw them all
fear of failure... i don't even know what you've "failed" at to be honest because i think your art is looking great XD

Yeah, I like keeping the comments open. That's what makes DA so fun.
Was feeling really desperate at that moment... considering any possible solution.
I've been drawing nothing but things I like, mainly Gertie.
But I'd like to branch out more. As an artist, have you ever felt that way?
I think I've failed at drawing more realistic stuff, changing my style, and concept art.
But I'm not giving up! Will keep on trying!

Thank you so much for the advice.
I've had self-consciousness/anxiety issues for a long time, but only just started to deal with them.
It's gonna take me some time to overcome this, but you are absolutely right!
I will keep on trying, and learn to take better care of myself!
Thank you!

your welcome
You get there its best to do things in your own time its gotta feel natural and right.
I think alot of creative types have the same issue but we all find a way to adapt to it and turn the negative thoughts into positive onesΒ

You know what you might wanna try. Try inventing a world for your characters. And just start small. Ask yourself simple questions and draw out the answers.

OMG YES, world-building is something I've been dying to do, for a long time!
Currently, the problem is that my self-consciousness prevents me from doing so...
(I'm terrified that people will judge my ideas, call it unoriginal, etc.)
In the end, I know that's just another excuse I'm going to have to conquer!
Will keep on trying, looking forward to the day when I'm strong enough and no longer afraid to show off my art/ideas! Confident that you'll be there, supporting me even then!
Thank you!

You know the thing about resembling something else is that if you do it differently or with a new style then it's entirely your own.
I've had an idea for a diesel punk world that's essentially a mixture of Pirates of the Caribbean and Storm Hawks, with some WW1 thrown in. Sure it'll look similar and have similar concepts, but I'll take it in a new way.
CONQUER THE EXCUSES!!!
YOU CAN DO THIS!
