Bottom of the page: Zira and her mother stare each other down with pure hatred in their eyes. Zira’s mother has that look of “You were a mistake. I never wanted you.” Zira on the other hand has that look of “Bitch, get the hell out of my way.”

It seems like between Zira and Taka, Zira was a bad egg from the start. She had no chance of being a good lioness with parents like her’s. Her father is using her as a pawn and her mother straight up hates her. Taka on the other hand, sure he was an arrogant little punk in the beginning and Reiji did not help in the matter, but he still has a family who loves him. His parents, his uncle and even Mufasa, even though he could be a bit bossy. I feel like the next chapter in this story may be the chapter where Taka meets Zira’s father and he gets his scar. Then again I could be wrong. I’m just basing my guess on the time jumps each chapter.
