Description
I like that cartoon trope where characters jump into each other’s arms in fear. I don’t know what it’s called...probably “character jumps into another’s arms in fear”happy Thanksgiving, Americans, here’s some Englishmen

Depends on the version of Hatter—Gotham’s version and the Arkham games one is, but there wasn’t any indication of it with BTAS.

The mind control on BTAS is creepy as hell though.
Also, I remember the Joker telling Onomatopoeia Hatter wanted to have sex with him but he wasn't into him

They are!! I need to draw them more—various versions, but especially these two I love that they’re friends in multiple continuities—although I wish I could find out how that became a thing, lol, like if that’s from the comics or not (I’m reading one right now that I specifically saw mentioned as one where they interact
)

I have no idea I think it's cause they both are braainy villains and both are related to childrens book characters
Onl time I've seen them interact was in LongHalloween ...THEY hated eachother....I think,Hatte spoke only in Wonderland qoutes and Scarecrow only in Nursery Rhymes

Hmm~ ...I wish I knew how to do more research on something this specific, lol, I wanna be sure! Well, once I get through this comic—I’ve spent all day with family, which has been absolutely lovely, but sadly meant I never had the time to read X3—I’ll tell you if they’re nicer to each other in... the much less catchily titled Detective Comics Issue Number 526!

Not really research, just gotta place the dots together .....Plus both of them are all about fucking with peoples minds ,that might be a factor
Awwww thats awesome ,same, mainly chilling with my dad
Yeaaaaaaah Long Halloween might be the catchiest title to a bat comic

No, I mean like finding out if there’s comic evidence for their friendship I mean I don’t know how I’d find out if there are specific issues that have them interacting or something
My parents and I went to my aunts house, as did all three of her ~s p a w n ~
I never get to see my cousins, so it’s been a cool day! Sounds like you guys had a good time too
Indeed! ...Hope the story is as good as the name?

Ah OK I misunderstood
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....Neither do I
That sounds awesome
Me and my dad stayed at home and wathed Ben Hur.,and enjoyed it ...Till we realized the film was 4 hours long and we were only two hours in ,so we then watched Batman/Superman Public Enemiies instead .
Oh it is.I have heard some people find the plot to complicated but I really enjoy it .It's that one I showed you where Joker has a shit ton of teeth ,Two Faces face is all gooey and Poision Ivy's hair is made of leaves

and googling has not helped much
I’m going to assume it’s not based in anything from the comics though, and was just a background animated series thing that became a fan thing that became a Gotham thing X3
Sweet! Although *rolling in Cleopatra rewatches* WEAKLINGS
...I don’t know if I’d be able to deal with Joker looking like that through the whole thing if I tried to read it, lol, but it does sound pretty alright~

I suppose so .I saw so much fan art of the two of them in BTAS form
WAsnt bothering me but my dad gets a little antsy when he feels like he is trapped by a movie .Plus he antted to check the score of a football game
Dont worry he's not in it alot

Yeah, there is a lot but it’s been a while since I’ve seen new HatterCrow stuff—although browsing the tag on Archive shows me that it’s been brought back in popularity a good deal thanks to Gotham ...Fan of Gotham that I am, I still do want new BTAS HatterCrow, which I believe means I should do more
Hmm, well I don’t relate but I get it. Was what you saw any good? I’ve never seen Ben Hurr.
Good to hear I got bored with the comic I was reading, so I think I’ll look for Long Halloween~

I am for taht, the world NEEDS more of this
I liked it and it has proven to me that epic movies where just excuses for filmmakers to get as homoerotic as possible ,and thats not hyperbolie .
Ah wasnt that good ?

Percy-McMurphy In reply to kingofpriderock [2018-11-24 19:24:32 +0000 UTC]
NEVER ENOUGH
That is the one thing I know about Ben Hurr, that they told...an actor who’s name I forget... to play it gay
Couldn’t really get into it. I also realized halfway through that I didn’t have any idea what era of comics this came from, lol. But I did end up reading all of Long Halloween, at least.

MOR SCAREHATTER
Stephen Boyd is apparently his name, and he was really good from what I saw ,and he played it VERY gay (No joke the first scene between him and Charlton Heston ,both me and my dad yelled "KISS" at the TV Screen )
Oooo what did ya think of Long Halloween ?

That he did Although I find it funny Heston was totally oblivious to it
That seems to be the general consensus .I like it alot ....But the ending doesnt make any sense to me

Percy-McMurphy In reply to kingofpriderock [2018-11-24 22:13:21 +0000 UTC]
Right? I question how he didn’t notice
Yeah, the ending came out of nowhere!! She’d just...been doing that? I mean I know it’s Gotham city, but starting murdering people is still a big deal, you can’t just casually say that she’s been doing that
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
kingofpriderock In reply to Percy-McMurphy [2018-11-24 22:53:33 +0000 UTC]
I think we can chalk that up to Heston being a bit of Manly Man and this being the 50's
I know right ? It felt like a weird twist .And it is so weirdly phrased I am not even entirely sure it is true ? Like did she even kill anybody or did she only kill people in her head ?Like I THINK it's supposed be ambguious wheather Fredo is the killer and Gildas just delusional or Gilda is the killer and Fredo is just an attention hog or BOTH are the killer ,and that is my biggest gripe with the book. The way I read it was Fredo was the killer and Gilda was just delusional ,cause HER being the killer is dumb

Percy-McMurphy In reply to kingofpriderock [2018-11-25 01:22:47 +0000 UTC]
Still People did know stuff back then!
But I guess it does make sense
Yes, same, exactly! I couldn’t figure out why it would possibly be her, and like was Alberto lying about being Holiday? ...Why would he do that? I mean I guess he could, for the attention, but it works better to me if he really was a murderer, just because... I don’t know, it just does!
Gilda being the killer doesn’t work for me, lol, I’m with you on interpreting it differently if possible.

kingofpriderock In reply to Percy-McMurphy [2018-11-25 03:42:56 +0000 UTC]
They did,but I think it ightve been a bit of denile on his part.
To say "Fuck you dad"seems to be his main reason if he is lying
I think it works better cuase it just makes more sense :Neglectid of a mobster born on a holiday embracing the life of the type of criminal that has subplanted his fathers type of crime
Looking into it ,it IS supposed to be up to interpertation ,so yeah ,Alberto being the killer is how I inteperted it.Like....Why would Gilda kill on holidays ?Like I know with real killers they can just up and murder people but....This is a comic book and in comics you need a convient backstory and Alberto makes more sense

Yeah, true, lol.
Hmm, yeah—I don’t even know this character and I would find that disappointing
Now that’s a plot I can get behind
Ooooh, well I’m glad to hear that at least, lol. ...Then what the hell was Gilda on about at the end?!

kingofpriderock In reply to Percy-McMurphy [2018-11-25 21:36:49 +0000 UTC]
But any way even beyond Ben Hur I have noticed homeroticism is a common theme in epic movies
Oh you do know him,or at least as well as I do .He only appears in this story and it's sequel .He was created specifically for Long Halloween
Same here.....IT's still "Fuck you dad" but in the most glorious of ways
I dunno her husband got hs face melted ,murdered a dude and got sent to jail ,she seemed a little off to me throughout the comic,so may be she just guilted herself into thinking she DID kill those people .I think she just retreted into a delusion ,shit happens like that .

Oh yeah .Heck the director acknowleged it was intentional ,as a lot of the film focuses on the relationship between LAwrance and his buddy Ali ,and it is indeed supposed to be read as a romance as much as it COULD be in 1962 .
I read it more as potential villain friendship/friendly rivelry but thats just me
