In my life, I'm going to start a revolution against unwarranted negativity.Judging is a big thing for me. I've lost good friendships because I let it control me. Now I see those friends follow that same path and it breaks my heart.
I want to challenge people. I want to save them heartache down the road. But it's like that guy from survivingtheworld.net said, nobody really wants to be Batman, because he sacrifices himself and his reputation to make the world a better place. No one is selfless enough to do that. But we can try.

CLARIFICATION: I am not condemning rants or anger! I am a strong advocate for standing up for oneself, or those who cannot for themselves, etc. This is a rant itself. I keep a diary, and think that ranting is actually healthy. It helps you organize your thoughts so that you can stand firmer on what you believe. It releases stress, and is totally better than punching someone in the face. What I've found to be true, however, is that I feel so much better if I wait a while to post that rant. I'm no longer blinded by my anger, using it then constructively (because it's not bad to be angry!) or more eloquently. I really wish I could have gone into deeper things with this, but I couldn't if I wanted to hold people's attention. The hate and negativity I am attacking is the pointless "I'm going to blame anything but myself" kind. I'm a girl who celebrates the French Revolution every year, I think it's safe to say I support getting angry.
Sorry for the confusion. I didn't think more than ten people would see this.
DISCLAIMER: tl;dr, I'm a hypocritical bitch myself.
I am well aware of the irony and utter hypocrisy in this piece, believe me! It's a rant, yes, but I hoped to put a positive and constructive spin on it by making it a call to action. I wrote this because, first and foremost, I am angry at myself. I am royal screw up when it comes to this subject, so posting this doesn't make me a hero. It gives me less of an excuse to mess up. But I firmly believe that just because the messenger shoots himself in the foot doesn't mean the message itself is faulty. We can still rise above this.
Thanks, everyone. If this inspires you, please share! If not, thanks for coming by anyway. If it makes you angry--well, good! We ultimately need people like you to point out the idiots and hypocrites in society, otherwise, we would not grow. And through all my faults, that's my goal.

I think that pointless, selfish, piety anger and hatred are foolish and a waist of time.
But at the same time hatred is part of humanity, if we didn't hate one an other then no great empires would have been forged, and we would lose decades of advancement.
So Hate is a double edge sword.

As right you may be, being the right person isn't the most easiest part of life. Since there never was a role model for me, to learn from. As ironic as it sounds, I did learn to behave from someone that doesn't know how to handle this matter.
Sometimes you don't get better of ''being the better person'' as long as I want to be it, there never will be a better person to begin with. There is always a positive and a negative side of the story. But sure you make a point to the people that worked themselves out ! I used to hope this would happen to me, but it's too late already !

thank you for this. I understand your sentiment completely: that the only way to get rid of the hate in society is to stop perpetuating it. I try to spread this message constantly (and i admit a bit hypocritically sometimes), but I've never seen it said so well. The world needs more folks like you, and I really don't say that often.

This is exactly what i've been thinking about lately. This text is indeed something that people need to realise. I'm touched my to read this words. I think you've described it perfectly. Yet I'm still eager. Aren't you a bit wrong? It's true, people do let control themselves. But isn't you being in denial in this also part of it? You dislike hating so much. You need to express this. But doesn't this also activaties the part of mindset that's to pushy to it's surroundings. Doesn't this create the kind of person that would only try to push it's personal belongings that much in the front that he/she doesnt realize she/he creates even more hate around. Maybe it's just neccesary... Maybe people just need that hate to others to realize.

Unfortunately, yes, it is easier to hate and fear than it is to love and be kind. I think materialism has a lot to do with it as people hate losing things the most...in an ideal world I should think many, if not all things would be shared. I also think people place wayyy to much pride in their knowledge of things, so that when questioned, put down, etc. they flip a nut and start showing a god-complex.

Hahahah, this just make me laugh. Hate is necessary, at least in my life was needed to overtake worst situations... maybe in more like just anger, but even, expressed in hatred, sweet hatred who was controlled and never used to put down anyone, just to don't get that down. Really, hate is the only thing keeps love flaming, the only thing that keeps a balance and a total way to make it exist. Anyway, I don't support totally your message, because with that, you are showing the hate to the hate, not solving anything.

I think that is the gayest thing I have ever read, and I once had to read a book of emo poetry.
You know what I really HATE is other people saying "you can't hate this, that's racist, Or you can't say
that it might offend someone"....SO WHAT! last time checked I had free will and could say what ever
THE HELL I WANTED...."sigh"......I don't try to be hateful, but if someone or something piss me off I
might get mad but that doesn't mean I hate them. Plus anger can be a healthy release, better to do it
on a computer then in real life I say.

I LOVE THIS! C: I used to uphold this attitude and feel proud that to choose love over hate, yet recently I've been feeling myself slip back into negatively. I found this amazing artwork just at the right time, as it's the perfect reminder that LOVE is the answer and the way forward and that hatred and negativity won't get you anywhere you want to be going.

I used to be like that, but then I realized it was all an insight and that I had no life.
Quite frankly, I've been working on being a less prejudiced person, for upon realizing that I had no life I also realized my time here is limited, and I have better things to do than waste my waking hours making people feel bad.
Besides, one of these days we all get old, and we look back and realize what we did. For the imbeciles who "hate" will look back and have a choice, to tell their grandchildren a lie about their youth, or call themselves losers in front of them.

Like woman are money sucking bitches. I'm sure girls wouldn't have that attitude if the media didn't portray them like that.

We all hate someone at some point... I always say I can't hate and I consider myself a friendly person, but that makes me a hypocrite and the truth is that I'm a little antisocial (especially outside internet). Reading this made me realize that I have to work a lot to change...

I don't think you realise just how much I take this to heart. I come and read this every once in a while, it's possibly the best thing on the internet.
I'm a very optimistic person, and it just feels so weird when people say to me, "why are you so helpful to that person? He's a stranger," or, "why are you so happy all the time?" I get confused, am I not supposed to be like that?
Anger, hate, and negativity has become sort of a trend on the internet! There's countless accounts on dA with the "im a bo$$" types of people who like to stir trouble and flaunt their fights to others (via screencaps/journals) etc... and you've got a tonne of their watchers cheering them on and... you said it, they're just as bad! And then they have the nerve to say that they're putting people in their place, and that anyone that dares to go against their opinion are 'keyboard warriors'. That type of hypocrisy is just on a whole other level I don't understand.
